The Gorgeous Golden Goddess is way more than just a pretty face, this woman is the epitome of a Definitely Amazing woman. Mother,entrepenure, and Blog-Talk Radio on air personality, she takes on these many roles and does them well. She is down to earth and very easy to get to know, not to mention ladies she can definitely teach you a thing or two in the Kitchen and in the Bedroom. So without further adeu here's the Sexy Golden Goddess.

You are a queen who plays many roles, from Goddess Bundt Cakes to Co-host of the "No Panties After Dark" Blogtalk Radio show. Which roll would you say makes you the happiest?

GG: I would have to say the role that allows me to be myself and do so totally uncensored. Believe me I get a rush when someone, bites into one of my confections and tell me how much they love them. That is an Amazing feeling. Doing 'No Panties After Dark' is a release from a stressful week. It's "no holds barred”, we say and do whatever comes to mind in an entertaining format. It’s live, entertaining and I'm a ham.

Your creations on Goddess Bundt Cakes are simply delectable, how do you come up with some of these flavors and ideas like Cupcakes and Pies in a Jar?

GG: Well, at first Goddess Bundt Cakes were based on bundt cakes only. I wanted to expand the menu and kept getting requests for cupcakes. I knew I did not have the technology to flash freeze a cupcake so my customers could receive a finished product. I searched high and low for ideas and ran across "Cupcakes and Pies in a Jar." I found out that military wives had been doing this for years! They would ship their spouses these treats overseas because they would stay fresh, being that no air got inside once the jar was sealed. I thought this was genius and hence the Cupcakes in a Jar were introduced to the Goddess Bundt Cake in June 2011. I come up with the flavors researching websites, collecting recipe books, networking online on, twitter, and friends who give me ideas. I like to test different flavors together at home then sending them out as a sample to get feedback. If people like it, I will add it to the menu.

I just recently listened in on "NoPantiesAfterDark" I must say its very entertaining, as well as erotic. What would you say to people who never heard the show, how would you entice them to listen?

GG: Someone recently told us that "No Panties After Dark" really pushes the envelope. Well great because we aren't a taboo show and that's not what we were looking for. We want to push that envelop as far as it will go. We recently had adult film star Roxy Reynolds on there and she was very kind and down-to-earth. We also had an erotic poet on our show and man that was blazing! We want to have guests on our show that everyone can relate too. We want both men and women to enjoy listening to "NoPantiesAfterDark." So far, the buzz is that everyone loves it! We want to have the most "around the way" guest that the common man or woman can relate to on a personal level; to the freakiest Adult stars who will allow you to get in touch with your "Inner freak." (Laughs)

When creating your more adult themed cupcakes in a Jar, what flavor profiles were you looking for?

White Russian: Mocha Cupcake with real Vodka & Kahlua w/a Vodka/Irish Cream/Kahlua Buttercream Icicng.

GG: When you think of adult, you think of going to a bar to have a drink with your friends. I created "Cupcakes at the Bar" where I have cupcakes with the flavors of your favorite drink. I have a Fuzzy Navel cupcake in a jar, White Russian, Irish Cream, Caramel Appletini and many more. They taste so much like the drinks that it's unbelievable. I am happy with the outcome of my "at the bar" inspired cupcake jars.

Is any Topic Taboo for "NoPantiesAfterDark"?

GG: Of course not! No Panties After Dark will address any subject. Most people are afraid to do this, but Not us! We have educated so many women and men on certain aspects of their body, things they can do to increase creativity with their partners and ways to avoid falling into being complacent with your significant other. We would like to strengthen the understanding between the male and female relationship.

What makes your Cakes and other goodies Definitely Amazing?

GG: I think my cakes stand-alone taste since some of my recipes are my grandmother's bundt cake recipes but tweaked. Plus, I have a motto to never sell a flavor that I wouldn't personally eat. I was in the restaurant industry a number did years ago and I had to be certified in Food Safety, because of this I am SO aware of food safety violations, I am extremely cautious in my kitchen. The last thing I want to do is make somebody sick.

GG: Business, and reputation. I believe in quality over quantity

SUPER BOWL SUNDAY: Giants VS Patriots Who wins?

What's going on!!,it's your boy Jay Rog once again representing Definitely Amazing bringing you the scoop and my prediction of Super bowl XLVI which is taking place in INDIANAPOLIS, IN at Lucas oil Stadium this Sunday night.

The New England Patriots are playing The New York Football Giants once again in the game that counts the most, Super Bowl XLVI.. This game should be very exciting and very unpredictable. It could be a very tight and up close game or it could be a blowout by either team. Right now, we are going to breakdown the certain numbers you should keep in mind for the game.

If you are a person that goes by the numbers on the paper, the numbers on the paper tell you The Patriots and The Giants have very strong offense, with The Patriots being more potent. The numbers also tell you they both have mediocre defense, both rank at the near bottom Giants 27th while the Patriots are 31st. However, if you a person that goes by what they see, you see the game in a different perspective. Believe it or not that should be the way you look at this game. How these two teams are playing right now those regular season numbers don't mean a thang!!

It’s a reason why these two teams are the last two standing, They are the hottest two teams since December and especially since the playoff started. The Giants are giving up 13 ppg in the playoffs. The Patriots are giving up 15 ppg in the playoffs. The Giants are scoring 27 ppg. The Patriots are scoring 34 ppg. During the playoffs, The Giants blew out the Falcons and the defending champ Green Bay Packers and a close game against the 49ers.

The Patriots dominated the Broncos by 35 and had a very close game against the Ravens in the playoff. The Patriots are -3 in turnovers this postseason while The Giants are+5 in turnovers this postseason. The Patriots have 6 sacks in the playoff while The Giants have 9 sacks this postseason. Therefore, as you can see they are evenly matched but The Giants have the upper hand in the turnover ratio and most football games the turnover ratio shows who most likely will win the game.

If you been watching the playoffs you should know that Eli have been playing very well throughout the whole postseason, while Brady been shaky. He has had one good game in a blowout against the Broncos, and an average at best game against the Ravens. Giants have all they weapons on deck while The Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski have a high ankle sprain that is very tender, and Hasn’t practiced since the injury occured. His injury could be a major setback but I don't expect it. I believe he is going to play and I believe Chad Ochocinco is going to get unleashed in the super bowl if Gronkowski is not 100 percent.

Lucas oil Stadium is the Colts home field. Everybody knows who the franchise Quarterback for the Colts is. If you don't I’ll give you a Hint (His Brother plays for the Giants,shh!!!) so I expect home field advantage for The Giants and The Patriots are a rival team to the Colts also so the fans have a natural dislike toward them anyway. Tom Brady is winless inside the new Colts stadium that is another stat to look at too. Eli Manning is winless too but he only played one game there though, Tom Brady has played three games at the stadium.

This is the third matchup between The Giants and The Patriots this year, meeting them preseason, week 9, and now in the Super Bowl. In fact, since Super Bowl XLII the teams met six times with preseason, regular season and Super Bowl games combined. Resulting in The Giants 5-1 record against The Pats. We might see it as nothing but it could be fuel for The Patriots. Now let's get to the nitty gritty.

Giants 41 Patriots 17!!!!!. Yeah I said it BLOWOUT!!!!!!!!! . I know your probably saying “this dude is bugging”, but if you been following your boy I’ve only been wrong twice and if it wasn't for Cundiff I would have been wrong once. At first, I picked The Patriots but going back doing my research I noticed Tom Brady been very inconsistent since week 12.Something is wrong with his mechanics, he's not moving so smoothly. A persistent Giants rush all game is not what Tom Brady wants right now believe me. The Giants defense is going to score so when I say 41 points that does not mean its going to be all offense.

My Amazing Personified players for the game will be the duo of Ahmad Bradshaw and Brandon Jacobs. Expect over 175 yards and 3 touchdowns from The Giants Running Backs. MVP is going to be Eli Manning once again cause its due the season he had he need some type of award to validate this season. Cocoa tell us a little bit about growing up as a young lady in the heart of Bedstuy, who aspired to be a Singer. What was it like, who inspired you, and what obstacles did you face at a young age?

Cocoa Sarai : I have to say I'm what you call "cultured" as my grandmother would call it. My grandparents are West Indian and I traveled a lot as a kid so my mind was always bigger than my surroundings. There is no place like Brooklyn, growing up in Bed-Stuy was a beautiful experience. I had my fair share of fights, shootouts, block parties etc. I always sang so everyone in my neighborhood knew it. I sang EVERYWHERE and ALL the time. Their all extremely proud of me. The guy at the bodega to the old lady in the Laundromat. My family definitely inspires me because they all sing, but the ciphers on the corner are always what drove me to want to do music. The hip-hop that was all around me definitely inspired the edge in my music. The biggest obstacle faced when I was young is losing my grandmother, it was hard because she raised me but had she not passed I definitely would have only been your local Sunday celebrity opposed to doing the music I do now. God always has a plan.

I actually met you back in 2008 at a venue known as YUME, and it was there that my ears got their first taste of your Amazing voice. What were your experiences like performing at YUME with several Amazing artists?

Cocoa Sarai : They were lots of fun.I learned a lot about myself as an artist in that atmosphere. I didn't know much about the underground scene. Theophilus London was like a brother to me, we met in The Hip Hop Project, he asked me to perform with him one day and that was that. I just wanted to sing and I began to gain fans immediately. I didn't know anything about Internet promo etc. I did what felt good, its ironic that most of the people in that circle are doing wonderful things now. I'm very proud and shout out to Mike for putting those events together.

You been featured on many of great artist's tracks. How does one get the Melodic voice of Cocoa Sarai on their track, and what do you look for when deciding if you want to be apart of a project?

Cocoa Sarai : I use to say yes to everyone, then the volume of artist became overwhelming. I just wanted to sing but now I'm definitely a lot more selective. Music is supposed to feel good; it is suppose to be a vibe. Many of the newer artists do not understand that, they just want to have a feature with someone because they have a buzz. That's super wack...lol So in between everything I'm doing I have people send the record to my email that they want to do if I like it Ill rock and if I don't I won’t. The smart ones send me music that they already have and then they suggest a vibe session and the music is organic from there. I won’t say it’s easy to get my attention because its honestly a lot of people that pursue a collaboration but it’s not hard when I like the music. I love good music, music that feels good, no matter who you are.

Your an Amazing songwriter, what are some of the experiences, and process that you use to create some of your Amazing lyrics?

Cocoa Sarai : I am a poet first. I've been writing poetry for ten years, songwriting came later. Everything comes from something simple, I’m a huge fan of creative writing. I like when its appeals to the senses for instance "Raining In My Room" You can see what’s happening based on the imagery, you feel what’s happening because of the emotion. I literally wrote that song in the middle of a storm. I remember crying my eyes out and it just came to me. Any emotion is at its extreme with me and I write about it. Sometimes it’s the experience of someone else, I just want people to relate. I usually find a melody first, or a specific line that ties everything together and then it just flows. I record myself so it’s easier to not feel pressured and just be creative. I don't believe in boundaries.

What are the things you want to be remembered for? What type of legacy would you like to leave behind?

Cocoa Sarai : The woman that touched people. You forget what you see but you never forget what you feel. Someone who is known for having dynamic performances and quality lyrics. Musically inclined and vocally raw. Someone who is a real person, that is unafraid to touch topics that people are, and just enough fire to blaze a trail for the next young girl with a dream like mines...

With the release of Half-Past Seven in 2010 you continued to take the world by storm. What was it like writing for that album, while being the executive producer of the project? Lyrically which song was your favorite to perform from that album?

Cocoa Sarai : It was normal to me because I didn't have a choice. It was just me and my partner Rick Hertz (producer/engineer). It was both out first times doing it and we had no idea as to what was wrong or right, we just knew we wanted to put it out and we did. I understood that first impressions are everything and I wanted mine to be flawless lol. I definitely made some mistakes but I still look back at my first project and love it. It’s my first child in a sense. It’s a great representation of where I was at in life and exactly who I was at that time. My favorite song lyrically would have to be 'Ur Such A Girl" It was witty and entertaining, it fun and bouncy. People always quoted the lyrics to it and it always makes me smile when they do.

Now comes "Black and White" and so far we have some classics already from this next masterpiece. Tell us about Raining In My Room and what inspired this song? And What else can we expect from this Project?

Cocoa Sarai : It’s actually called THE Black and White. Raining In My Room was inspired by the tornado we had in Brooklyn and a breakup. The point where you don't even care about the problems, you just miss them so much that you want them to come back, even if it leads to another fight. I felt like I was going to die, I thought the pain would never go away. My house just burned down and I was staying in a huge loft by myself that had six huge windows so when it rained it felt and sounded like it was inside my room. I cried and cried and wrote and wrote and then I stopped. A year later I finished it and here we are. I still love the song so much because of how the beat felt before I penned it. The guy and I are friends now and I told him. "Your going to make me a lot of money one day" lol On The Black and White you can definitely expect a raw, very well balanced musical meal. A woman who is unafraid and honest in the most creative way . Songs that make you bounce and cry and laugh all at the same time. I'm still the same woman but I went from caring what everyone thinks to not giving a f*** just enough to be able to create without boundaries. From being afraid of pushing the limits to saying "Yeah I just said that and you love me for it, don't front" lol

Who is Cocoa Sarai and why are you Amazing Personified?

Cocoa Sarai : Because I’m not afraid to be vulnerable, I’m not afraid to mess up and I love people. All of that is in my music, and I think that's Amazing.

NFL Championships : Patriots VS Ravens ,Giants VS 49ers Who will win?

Whats going on World it’s your boy Jay Rog once again representing Definitely Amazing bringing you the most accurate picks out of anybody that’s doing the same. YEAH THAT’S RIGHT ISAID IT !!!!!!!!!!!! I put my signature on it. Last week was the Divisional Round of the NFL playoff. Your boy was 4 for 4 last week pick all the winners congratulation to the 49ers, Patriots, Ravens, And the Giants. Those four teams are playing in the Championship round. The Patriots and The Ravens are up to bat first at 3’o clock eastern time at Gillette Stadium. After that game, we have the New York Football Giants versus The San Francisco 49ers at 6:30 pm Eastern time at Candlestick Park.

The New England Patriots are red hot right now .In fact they been hot for a while they haven’t lost a game since losing to the New York Giants in week 9, if your keeping count that’s nine games in a row. But like the old saying goes “every good thing must come to an end” (at least I think that’s how the saying goes) 10 straight will not happen. The Patriots haven’t beat a team all year with a winning record above .500 unless you want to count the Denver Broncos who literally had a .500 winning record. The Ravens defense is much more superior to the Patriots defense. But on the other hand the Patriots defense have to contain Joe Flacco who is average at best while the Ravens have to deal with Tom Brady who is one of the all time best at his position. Ravens defense rank 3rd in the league, While the Patriots are 31st in the league. The Patriots have many weapons, so much that they don’t even use Chad Ocho Cinco at all. Ravens only have Ray Rice as their consistent offense playmaker but I believe the trade they made earlier this season for Lee Evans is going to be the wild card in this game. It’s going to be a close game so close that as I’m writing this I switch my pick like three times but I’m going with the Ravens due to my right hand Ran-Da-Man putting things in the rightful perspective. This pick will also be my upset for this Championship Round. Ravens will be representing the AFC in the Super Bowl

Now last but not least it’s the NFC Championship game The San Francisco 49ers versus the New York Giants. Two good Defenses in this game, but one good Offense in this game though. The 49ers lucked out last week against the Saints even though they were my upset pick of the divisional round, I didn’t expect them to win the way they did. That why I consider them lucky. New Coach Straight out of College and a Quarterback that was being consider as a bust I just cannot see that combo going to the super bowl unless it’s a Disney movie. This is the Real World and Reality is going to set in for the 49ers. The Giants can turn the 49ers into a one dimensional team by shutting down Frank Gore. The Giants could put out that Nascar package and put seven men in coverage and that’s it a long hard day for Alex Smith. Eli is in the zone and he will stay in the zone. Chris Canty the defensive tackle of the New York Giants said he doesn’t believe they played their best game yet and believe it or not I agree it’s more to come from the New York Giants. Three games straight of beating teams by Three scoring drives and the streak continue. Giants representing the NFC for the super bowl.

My Amazing Personified player of the week will be Osi Umenyiora. He will do his infamous sack and strip at a key moment of the game that will setup a Baltimore Ravens Versus The New York Giants in the super bowl. In a Rematch of the 2000 Super bowl that the Ravens won 34 to 7. Come back next week when I will be reviewing the matchup for the super bowl hopefully this week I’ll be two for two. Explain the title "Are You Fierce, Focused, & Fabulous or Just Another Dumb Bitch?" Why that title?

PR: I think the title is self-explanatory really. I chose that particular title because I wanted women to ask themselves that question and decipher the answer for themselves as they read it. I think by the end, by my definition, most were surprised by the answer.

When you first finished "Are You Fierce, Focused, & Fabulous or Just Another Dumb Bitch?" What were your first thoughts?

PR: The World needs this!

In a world where every woman is a "Real" Woman what set your book apart from other Self-Improvement Guides out there for Women?

PR: I'm a Real woman. I'm a fallible human being, I'm far from perfect and I can actually identify with my readers and targeted demographic on more levels than one.

Your a woman of mass creativity, Tell us about "Love, Lust and Lies" and how that came about?

PR: Well, it's actually LOVE LIES IN LUST and it's my very 1st stage play. I wrote it, cast it, directed it and produced it. It's by far one of my greatest accomplishments. I decided to write the play because book money is slow money unless you have a book deal which I did not and do not have. And also because I had a story to tell and it needed to be told. So between the media and societal taboos, slow book sales and stories I'd heard from friends in the entertainment industry... Love Lies in Lust was born.

What's next on your agenda for this year?

PR: I'm currently in pre-production for my first Screenplay Love Lies in Lust an adaptation of the stage play. Filming my 1st Reality/Docu Series Moguls in the Making, and I'm also in pre-production for three other TV shows and in the process of writing my second screenplay.

Divisional Round Picks this weekend

Hello world, its your boy Jay Rog here to bring you my Definitely Amazing picks for this weekend divisional round in the NFL. First, let us recap last week wild card round. Your boy was three out of four with my picks, with The Bengals ruining my perfect four out of four. It is all good because I knew the world didn’t believe of my upset pick for the week. Tim Tebow did it again and pulled out miracle against The Steelers in overtime, with an eighty yard pass to Demaryius Thomas that sent The Steelers home early. Sorry Wiz but that black and yellow is one and done, so you can put them towels away. Drew Brees showed the world that The Detroit Lions are still cubs and still on the come up. The Saints as an offense put up 626 total yards up in the game a new NFL playoff record. The score was 45 to 28. The New York Giants sent The Atlanta Falcons home with a 24 to 2 win at Metlife Stadium. The defense pulled a shutout. An Eli Manning safety gave The Atlanta Falcons their only score of the game. The Giants struggling running game, put up a 172 rushing yards the most so far this season. The Giants are peeking at the right time (LETS GO BIG BLUE!!!!!)

Now let’s get into this week games. First up is The Denver Broncos versus The New England Patriots. You have one team that has a mediocre offense with a very good defense and the other team with a very good offense with a mediocre defense. Most of the time when a very good offense goes up against a very good defense, you would take the very good defense, but this time I’m rolling with the very good offense in this game. Tom Brady, the reigning MVP is going to be too much to handle for The Broncos and Tim Tebow has way too many flaws in his game to come out with a victory. Therefore, I’m going with The Patriots.

Next, we have The New Orleans Saints versus The San Francisco 49ers. This game is my upset pick of the week world.The 49ers will beat The New Orleans this Saturday night. CandleStick’s muddy football field is going to neutralize The Saints arena football type offense. A heavy dose of Frank Gore to control the time clock to keep Drew Brees on the sideline, will be the recipe to a masterpiece for the 49ers, and another thing The Saints don’t play good on the road. The 49ers are heading to the NFC Championship

Next up is The Houston Texans versus The Baltimore Ravens. This could be the best game this week. Both teams are balanced. I’m going with The Ravens basically on home field advantage. The Ravens are undefeated at home this season, so they will keep it rolling and end the 2011 season unbeaten at home. T.J Yates is a rookie and The Ravens with their sophisticated blitzing scheme should be too much for him so I’m going with The Ravens.

Now last but not least, The New York Giants take on The Green Bay Packers. Rematch of last month’s game at Metlife stadium, where The Packers won 38 to 35 on a last second field goal. It’s also a rematch against the two playoff opponents from the 2007 NFC Championship game. At that time Brett Favre was the quarter back and in fact it was his last game as The Green Bay Packers quarterback. The Giants won that game in overtime. The Giants are RED HOT Right now, their Offense and Defense are clicking at the right time. Who I am going to pick? Most of the world would say this should be my upset pick of the week. The thing is I wouldn’t think it will be an upset if The NY Giants won. I’m going with The Giants in a very close game, ending with a missed field goal from The Packers as time expires.(SORRY PACKERS FANS……BBM SAD FACE)

How does Bedlam push Fashion Forward?

Kouture: Bedlam pushes fashion forward by always changing our interpretation of what what is fashionable. Nothing is ever one sided or written in stone. This Album was a prolific look into the artist himself and his view on the state of the Hip Hop Industry. Lyrically this is real, and deep with lyrical moments that left the listener in awe. 04: Eric Sosa's Year.

That's right I think Eric Sosa had a F'n Fantastic year full of great music, even greater videos and great performances. It is no secret that Simon Cowell's X-Factor on FOX was a hit with viewers bringing in millions of votes for the many great contestants. What caught my attention was the hit song that made the Pepsi commercial ran during X-Factor, Phenomenal. That song was sung by an Artist that I had the pleasure of interviewing twice, Outasight. His song "Tonight is the Night" is a fantastic club hit and he definitely moved onto a grander stage with that song and that performance live on X-Factor.

X-Factor also got a B.I.G ratings boost when East New York Native, Astro took the world by storm. Showcasing marvelous writing ability and an uncanny stage presence he continued to shock and amaze each week with his Flawless performances. If you have a television, and you already like shows like The Voice, American Idol and America's Got Talent then your probably watching X Factor. X Factor is Simon Cowll's newest musical reality TV search for the next big thing in music. Now I already think this show is Definitely Amazing in itself, but as of last week's episode I now have a real reason to stay tuned. That reason comes in the form of the fourteen year old Brownsville native emcee Brian Bradley otherwise known as The Astronomical Kid. Now a year or so ago i was introduced to this young man when he performed on stage at an event I was covering. It was then that i had the pleasure of seeing one of the youngest performers I ever got the chance to see, literally destroy the stage. Brian's performance was on the performance level of Kanye West, and that day he took control of the crowd and seized the moment. I've been a fan of Brian from that moment on and said to many people that he was destined to be a star. Well last week he got his chance to seize the moment again on X Factor.

Living your dream or still in pursuit?

2hb: I lived a lot of my dreams already, especially the 1 for a 2nd Generation Nuyorican. The only dream that remains is completing a fully produced album with Many Styles dream that I had in 2004. Now he calls himself I Am Many and we're well on our way to knocking that 1 out. It's all about my Son's dreams now. Maybe trying to move to Canada because America's political & economic system is going 3rd world on its citizens is the new dream.

Why Hip-Hop, what drew you into this creative art form?

2hb: My father! My uncle Will introduced me into HOUSE music in the 80s and my dad into oldies. In junior High School, my boy Marcelino Sinclair Jr (R.I.P) showed me some Hip Hop. I brought home OPP & my pops showed me the Jackson 5. I brought Biz Markie and he showed me Whitehead & McFadden. So on and so forth. The search for great original tunes sampled began. Then just the idea of reconstituting sounds that made me feel a way, then making it my own,- SOLD ON HIP HOP (though I'd later learn that the House legends like Kenny Dope & Louie Vega were also sampling).

Name a dream collaboration you'd love to do for a dream Mixtape. (Dead or Alive)

2hb: I'm in the process of recruiting emcees for another themed jump-off. 8thw1 has so far left me hanging on this 1. It's no beef, 8th has been our go to guy for ill rhymes for 2yrs, but I come with ludicrous ideas, and this 1 wasn't on his boat. K Gaines is a wildman, so I don't know how long this will take to manifest. But like I said, I have worked with everyone I like to listen to. I would love to do a Von Pea project- not mixtape. 2 Hungry Bros mixtapes with the exception of OPEN BUFFET don't have our beats.

You've worked with the likes of Mickey Factz and Fresh Daily, name another underground artist you'd like to produce for or share the stage with that you've haven't yet?

2hb: I worked with Fresh Daily (we're alive & independent, not dead & underground) who had Mickey in the lab 1 night. I never WORKED with Factz but he is a cool guy who I always have the pleasure of running or bumping into (whichever of those gerunds is less Gay-yo!). I'm already working with Likwuid & her band on GRACE & Homeboy Sandman is another 2HB FAM Emcee. I Am Many is the illest emcee "of all time"(in my best Kanye) I’m already rocking wit him. I work on & off with my Aok FAM, Sleepwalkas, & Yc The Cynic. I'm kind of good.

What was it like being a DJ alongside your partner in crime Ben Boogie, at such a legendary spot as the Nuyorican Poetry Club?

2hb: Pure fun! It was also a great opportunity to build our way up in the game. Bigups to Rocky, Phoenix, and Rugged & Raw for that. I still spin there on Saturday nights whenever Phoenix needs me. You can't turn your back on the good people who brought us where we at. We also linked with Sucio Smash there.

I think Kendrick Lemar's "HiiPower" track is an amazingly inspired song for example. His passion & knowledge shine in that song. You also need MONEYto make an Amazing Project, so get it- via 9 to 5 or an investor. My Crew's All Thinner Mixtape, I was truly inspired to do something original and... Well I have explained the process in other interviews & people still think both mixtapes have original beats ( *Back For 2nds).

Dreamer or Dream Chaser? Which one are you and why?

AB:I’m probably a little bit of both, although I view “dreams” more as “eventual realities,” which gives them a feeling of being much more reasonable and attainable.

Was becoming an entertainment journalist your first dream? If not who would Adam of Adam's World have become?

AB:Because timing can be really funny, entertainment journalism didn’t even enter my mind until AFTER I had earned my undergraduate degree. I was actually a sports writer for a newspaper in Connecticut covering a local college football team that no longer exists (Fairfield U) and the occasional high school sporting event when I decided I wanted to make the move to entertainment journalism. My original dream was to be an athlete, but I think that’s true of most guys. That didn’t pan out for me, though, as I didn’t hit my prime physically until my twenties and as we all know, unless you’re a standout at a very young age you don’t have very many options in sports.

Who are some of the people you've interviewed that for you were a dream come true?

AB:I try to keep everything in perspective because one thing I can’t stand is “groupie journalism,” so even when approaching an interview that many, including myself, would consider a dream, I have to wipe that notion away and be a professional about things. That being said, interviewing LL Cool J in person has definitely been a highlight, as was getting a call asking if I wanted to interview Russell Simmons. Who on earth says no to that? One interview that falls under my “dream” heading for a completely different reason was the time I spoke with Entourage’s Jerry Ferrara. I was working for a now defunct men’s magazine called Soak and had told the editor I wanted to expand outside of writing about just music and do more entertainment features. We both agreed Entourage was a great show (it was in its second season at the time) and he said if I could book an interview with one of the cast members it was a done deal. By making that interview happen it led to getting entertainment assignments and five cover stories for the national magazine. A similar dream interview was when I put together a 2,500 word piece on Attack of the Show a couple of years ago for a different magazine I was working for. I basically forced it on the editor, developed all the contacts for it from scratch, and not only did it end up making the back cover, but it was featured in a two minute segment on the show. I guess, in a long, rambling, way, my “dreams come true” all involve interviews that expanded what I do. Maybe my ultimate dream is progression. That sounds kind of boring, though, so let’s make my ultimate dream progression while being surrounded by supermodels feeding me grapes. (Could somebody PLEASE Photoshop that!)

How can entertainment writers showcase the underground community while still captivating an audience that craves mainstream media news?

AB:This is a great question. I think writers that showcase the underground community can captivate an audience that craves mainstream media news by crafting interviews and stories where the two intersect. There’s nothing that says you can’t ask your favorite political rapper about specific issues that are going on right now. A few months ago I interviewed an emcee by the name of Khaled M, who is heavily involved in Libyan politics, and we spoke about the current conflicts going on in Libya. It doesn’t even have to be that deep, though. If you’re interviewing an up and coming pop singer the week Katy Perry ties a Billboard chart record, ask the singer about it. If their answer is good it will not only expand your audience, it will expand the artist’s audience, as well, because people searching blogs for info and opinions on Katy Perry will find the interview.

Name your Top Five Definitely Amazing Hip Hop Albums, and Lyricists.

AB:You know with my group of friends this is the most unfair question you could possibly ask. I can’t even begin to go through the plethora of albums I love. As for lyricists, I hope people eventually catch on to the fact that Tah Phrum Duh Bush is a genius on the mic. Anyone who can get a chorus as complicated as the one for “Randomatic Idiosyncratic” stuck in your head is truly on another level. We also have guys like Homeboy Sandman, iLLspoKinN, Chaz Kangas, Conscious, Dyalekt, Coole High, Sketch Tha Cataclysm and a host of other talented emcees in the scene. Nationally, artists like Dessa, P.O.S., Vinnie Scullo and Tech N9ne deserve more props. Yes, I realize I listed more than five artists, but you knew that was going to happen. This is why I totally side-stepped the album portion of this question.

Who are some of the people in media that inspired you?

AB:This is another great question. I’m inspired by great interviewers. These are people who don’t settle for the sound bites every artist an entertainer has at the ready when they’re promoting a new project. Nothing bores me more than reading, or watching, an interview where the interviewer doesn’t pull anything out of who he or she is speaking with other than the fact that they have something new out. One of my favorite interviewers is Kevin Pereira of Attack of the Show. He only gets five minutes or so for his interviews, but I can’t tell you how many people I’ve followed on Twitter because he’s had them talking about things far more interesting than simply their work. I actually think our interviewing techniques are very similar and they stem from one big thing - research. Nothing is better than a well-researched interview.

What's the thing that makes your blog Definitely Amazing?

AB:I’m always hesitant to give myself props. I’m super humble. According to my good friend Sean “Ope” Williams I’m humble to a fault and should big myself up more, so here goes... my blog is Definitely Amazing because, for one, it features real journalism. I’m not just sitting at my desk posting up things publicists send to me, I’m going out and finding great music and entertainment and personally bringing it to you. My blog is also Definitely Amazing because I’m not afraid to voice my opinion, which, in the case of music, is an educated one after eleven years of doing artist interviews and writing about the industry. Are my opinions always popular? No, but I’m not asking everyone to agree with me, I actually welcome comments from people who disagree. I’m just trying to get ideas, and artists, out there.

Tell us why Adam of Adam's World is Definitely Amazing?

AB: That guy? He’s a jerk! He’ll steal your girl, your lunch money, and your bike! Actually none of that is true. I don’t even know how to ride a bike, so why would I steal one? I don’t know if my ego will allow me to call myself Definitely Amazing, but I love the title my friend Charlotte Mishell came up with for me - “nerdy... but awesome.” Basically, I’m a hard working guy who will do absolutely anything for his friends, I took in a rescue kitten who now runs my entire house, and I clear the snow off of my neighbors’ car in the winter cuz she’s a grandma and grandmas shouldn’t have to do that kind of stuff. Also, if I see Minka Kelly walking down the street I WILL ask her out.

E.S: I was officially introduced to Hip Hop, by a friend of the family. He wrote a love song for a girl, recorded it on tape himself, and played it for her...after witnessing first hand how the song moved her, how creative he was able to be, and more than anything...how free he was during the entire process, I knew I wanted to learn how to do the same. See I started off playing snare drum for a marching band. So this introduction to writing expanded my freedom of expression infinitely.

4. When creating "summer of love" Did you think, wow this could really be something special?

E.S: I came across "Summer of Love" accidentally. My n/gga Rio was running through an instrumental CD for me, the CD was filled with hard, raw, sample-like beats. As he was skipping through the CD, we came across the beat for "Summer of Love" which was remixed by Ian Carey. He was almost embarrassed that that beat was even on the CD, like "my bad, I don't know how that got on there" lol. So he skips it and I'm like "na na, go back go back". Long story short, he goes back, I listen to it a handful of times on repeat, and make him put it on my iPod like "watch what I do with this". You can say that was the beginning of the "Summer of Love" frenzy lol.

5. Name an Artist that you've yet to work with, but you've seen perform and it made you want to collaborate on a track with?

E.S: Ryan Leslie. I've had the pleasure of sitting in during one of his sound checks...smh...ridiculous. I learned more from his sound check than I have from watching cats actually perform. Ryan, if you're reading, holla at me!

6. When your not making music, what do you do as a second past time?

E.S: If I'm not working on music, I'm taking care of the business (Sosa Management Corp.) aspect with Danielle, and if I'm not doing that, I'm spending time with my four year old daughter Justice.

7. Define Definitely Amazing as it pertains to Eric Sosa the person.

E.S: Well referring back to the first question, I can say that I work towards being great without any doubt everyday, you'd have to ask the fans whether I'm there yet or not.

8. How does it feel to have a following like you have? And did you ever expect to have one like this?

E.S: Its (Definitely) Amazing lol ...I'm humbled by it, and I appreciate it a hundred percent. I mean, we still have a lot of work to do, but I always knew I wanted it to get like this, just wasn't sure if it actually would...guess I answered my own question huh?

10. Rhymes&Noodles Vol 2 is Definitely Amazing, how'd you pick which songs to go with for this mixtape?

E.S: Thank you, I honestly just wrote "Is It True" first, released it, and the rest of the project kind of "cooked" on its own. "Is It True" produced by Arbz the Wolf and Dremur, was the beginning of it, it was me "turning on the stove". If you notice, I remixed it with Drugzzzy B, and made it a hidden track, it was only right.

11. What's next for the Lyricist known as Eric Sosa?

E.S: Ah man, thank you for the title, I'm working on two projects, I'll be releasing more info on that at a later date. But definitely stay tuned for my first single titled "One You" featuring Rocki Evans on iTunes soon, other than that you can expect a lot more shows, and last but not least, a lot more success!

Rhymefest and M1 Support Building a Hip-Hop Union

Rhymefest and M1 of dead prez helped kick-off the E.I.: Expose the Industry Tour at the University of Wisconsin –Milwaukee on Saturday April 23. Question by question, Rhymefest and M1 broke down the economics and politics of Hip-Hop artists working in the music industry. Both artists have been on music labels and offered their take on what it’s like to be signed to a recording contract. Other panelists included Jasiri X, Firey Phoenix, Fidel Verdin, and Yasmine Lancaster contributed to the E.I. tour’s first discussion as part of a campaign to develop a Hip-Hop union with collective bargaining rights.

The audience of the first leg of the E.I. Expose the Industry Tour received a treat when two of Hip-Hop’s most prolific revolutionary emcees Rhymefest and M1 of dead prez both showed up for the free panel discussion in Milwaukee, WI this past Saturday. The two artists explained the music industry’s attempts to alter artists and prevent positive community messages from disseminating. M1 discussed dead prez’s freedom being independent versus being on Loud Records and Sony. Rhymefest united with a Hip-Hop union being crucial to developing healthcare, but added that “a Hip-Hop union would need to develop from the bottom, up.” He also stated that “Hip-Hop’s most successful players should be contributors to that movement.”

M1 expressed that he was a revolutionary first and then an artist. Both Rhymefest and M1 agreed that the word “conscious” places artists in an incorrect and outdated box. Rhymefest said he had more real life conversations with Lil’ Jon than any other artist in Hip-Hop. He said many so-called “conscious” artists were no where to be found during his campaign for Alderman in Chicago. However, Lupe Fiasco reached out to offer his support along with several other artists in Hip-Hop. “Lupe called me up asking ‘what do you need?’”

During the tour, executive director Omowale Adewale of Grassroots Artists MovEment (G.A.ME) spoke via phone to Grammy-nominated Hip-Hop artist Phonte who is best known for being a member of The Foreign Exchange and a former member of Little Brother. Phonte spoke candidly about the industry, “In terms of Atlantic Records, it just wasn’t the right fit for us. They just wanted us to make radio records and we weren’t into that.”

The E.I.: Expose the Industry Tour will return to New York City for a quick fundraiser for Picture the Homeless on April 28 and for a briefing and mixing party on April 29 in the Lower East side.

On April 30, the E.I. tour will head out to Richmond, Va with industry insiders: Author of Dancing with the Devil: How Puff Burned the Bad Boys of Hip-Hop, former Bad Boy recording artist and P. Diddy's ghostwriter Mark Curry, B.E.T’s former producer of Rap City tha Bassment, creator of Spring Bling, actor on Chappelle’s Show and author of B.E.T,DBRAD&ME, Dbrad and Kim Osorio, the first female editor-in-chief of the Source and author of Straight from the Source. Remaining dates include May 4 in Hartford, CT, May 5 in Washington, DC, May 6 in Newark, NJ and May 7 in Union, NJ.

Hip-Hop artist Saigon will finish out the E.I.: Expose the Industry Tour with a performance at Tammany Hall in New York City on May 8. Saigon released his highly anticipated debut album The Greatest Story Never Told in February to fan and critic approval.

Rhymefest released his first official album, Blue Collar on J Records in 2006. He won a Grammy award for co-writing Kanye West's "Jesus Walks". This year, Rhymefest placed 2nd in his run for Alderman in Chicago’s 20th ward, losing by only 200 votes.

Amina, Where does most of your inspiration come from when you create new accessories and or your fashionable art?

AG: I would say that my inspirations can come from anything from paintings, to movies, music videos, graphic art, books, vintage accessories and pretty much anything that can visually spark up something in me to create.

How did you get started in your craft? What do you bring fresh 2 the table?

AG: I started off creating a few earrings, mainly for myself. After receiving some compliments and continually being asked if i sold any of my work, I started to think that it would be a good idea to share my creations with others.

Explain why The Architect is Definitely Amazing?

A:I think The Architect is definitely amazing because I represents a new breed of musicians with God given talent that are doing it for the love of the music. For that reason we are more focused on music that people can feel than what's "HOT" for the moment. There aren't many beat makers under 30 that qualify technically as a producer, much less a super producer. That's a title I aspire to.

How does your creative process work, when creating new music?

A: The creative process is typically in auto pilot. As much as I would like to take credit for what I create, I believe creativity comes from a higher power. So depending on the situation, if I'm just building an instrumental or working with an artist, I usually like to establish a groove. Once I have the groove then I find a lead melody and from there everything falls into place.

Which means more to you; the respect of your peers, or love from new fans of your work?

A: Respect from peers is more valuable to me. People's feelings for someone can change but respect generally grows or stays the same unless I do something to lose it. And that respect will spread naturally. I believe that's how legends are built.

How did you get started in your craft? What do you bring fresh 2 the table?

A: I was introduced to production through a very close friend who was in a percussion band I started. From that moment he showed me I knew that this is what I needed to do.

Movie Mania Monday: Marvel VS DC, Harry VS Twilight, Smurfs VS Muppets

What is it about the slate of movies scheduled to come out this year, that has me so psyched? Hmm well for starters..... Marvel comics will officially take over the summer. DC Comics will have to put a whole heap, of hope in their Green Lantern film (June 17th) because Marvel Comics has thrown some heavy hitters in the fray for May, June, and July. They kick their proverbial smack-down of the year with the hugely anticipated film, Thor (May 6th) which will feature the Thunder God swinging his Mighty Hammer around Midgard (Earth) and his Homeland Asgard (Land of the Norse Gods). This film looks good hopefully it doesn't fall short of is expectations. The origins of the extraordinary mutants known as the X-Men will debut this June ( June 3rd) with, X-Men First Class. Then Marvel literally punches DC in the mouth this July (22nd) with their heroic American staple, Captain America :The First Avenger. Marvel looks to make a statement with these films and if done correctly they very well could take over the summer. The Summer is looking great with a fantastic slate of movies, sequels galore, and big time names, such as Transformers, Super 8 (Everyone and their mama wants to see this don't front) and who else but Mr. Magic himself Harry Potter. With the last part of this franchise on the horizon, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows Part II looks to go out with a bang. Vampire followers don't forget your favorite manic depressant, love struck, emo Vampires are back this November with The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn . Both these fan favorites look to finish off strong this year. Then for the kiddies there seems to be a whole lot going on, Kung Fu Panda 2, Cars 2, Happy Feet 2 in 3D (SMH), Winnie The Pooh, the list goes on and on. The family picks are many to choose from but for me I think The Smurfs (July 29th) and The Greatest Muppet Movie Ever Made (November 23rd) are going to be Definitely Amazing. So there ya go there are some of my many picks for this year , ..... I almost forgot Harold and Kumar return in A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas now this has got to be funny. Anyway like i was saying thats my pick let me know if there's something you think I should have picked or if there's something you don't like about my picks in the comments section folks.

I recently met this brother in one of the strangest places ever. It wasn't til after conversing with him that I could tell he was Definitely Amazing. The funny thing is I hadnt even heard any of his music yet. However, now that I've heard this track its infectious rhythm and lyrics have solidified his Amazing-ness. Checkout "GONE" EsJae takes it back to the smooth, entrancing lyrics and Music we loved from back in the day.

Jesse Abraham "One Day" Review

Jesse Abraham's "One Day" is a lyrical journey into pop culture, literature, cartoons of old and new, and the golden era of Hip-Hop. Now I'll be the first to admit, at first listen not everyone is going to feel Jesse Abraham, but then again nothing is for everyone. His lyrical style is eclectic and engaging, and I believe this is because he pulls from many different sources and blends them together well.

Take "Spider-Man On Vitamins" Jesse takes very Arabic tones, and very twisted poetic rhymes and mixes them together to make a trance on wax. The beat on this track and his ability to hook the listeners in lyrically is what makes this a favorite among his lyrics.

The title track "One Day" ft. the fantastic phenom Eric Sosa on the hook, is one of my favorite joints on this project. Jesse begins this track with tough flow and it is very real and dope. This track is a showcase of the un-willingness to change or conform to anyone's views on what Hip-Hop should be.

Fresh Daily is also one of the features on "One Day" on a track that love "Figure It Out" because of Jesse Abraham lyrics are Amazing. He takes this very dope beat and introduces strong verses filled with gems for the ear if you really take the time out to listen. He has an uncanny ability to mix humor, current, and past events from our culture to create phenomenal lyrics.

Another favorite of mine on this mixtape, is "Written While Sittin on A Hammock". This track is very relaxed lyrics on tough techno beat, and those lyrics are fantastic. Jesse is like listening to a time capsule filled with the knowledge of the world with a spin on everything.

Jesse has many joints on here I could talk about, I chose to keep it simple and showcase these tracks. Jesse Abraham's "One Day" is a great Hip-Hop Romp from the norm, and its very entertaining.

Ran-DA-Man gives it a 4 out of 5 F'N Fantastic!!!!!

OD: When scouting new talent, I usually look for an amazing story, great music, I need to sense the artist is passionate about what he/she does and determined to perfect its craft. Lastly, the artist needs to be brand conscious.

3) The Music that comes out of this camp is outstanding, eclectic, and Different. What is it that makes the artist from this agency so new and fresh?

OD: The fact that these artists ARE new and fresh! I think, it’s awesome that the artists have their own musicality, their own approach to the game. They are not trying to fit the mold or be just like everyone else in their field. This right here is refreshing to me! A lot of artists are chasing the deal and don’t stick to their brand to get to the top, I think it’s a mistake. Nowadays, a lot artists either hop on making trendy music or making music that doesn’t fit them. My clients dare to be different.

4) How does one get an opportunity to showcase themselves for I AM PR?

5) David E Beats & the White House Band do a phenomenal live performance. What makes the live performances from your camp so exciting?

OD: Artist Development is listed among our services. I really like to make sure the artist is polished from the studio, to the interviews, to the stage. I spent a lot of time with The White House Band discussing ways to enhance their live show. They take the concert experience very seriously. What makes their live show very exciting is the fact they understand the importance of creating a memorable experience for the audience. When they are on stage, they give 100% to their fans. They are very loud, energetic and captivating! That’s phenomenal!

6) With Fantastic Ladies like Likwuid, Deena Jonez, and Kandys on your roster you have shown you go after Definitely Amazing women. What was it about these women that made you say yeah they're DA! ?

OD: Likwuid, Deena Jonez and Kandys, are three ladies who are really hands on in business and managing their careers. Likwuid has already toured the world, Deena Jonez is a hard-worker and she is very gifted. Kandys is a great songwriter and she also a great performer. These ladies all embodies great talent and have a very bright future ahead of them, so I really wanted to work with them and help them take it to the next level.

7) Now Let's focus on the woman behind the name, Olivia. What made you interested in this line of work?

OD: I’ve always had an interest for the entertainment industry. I never imagined it would work in it as a publicist. I was a dancer and wanted to be a choreographer, but after I twisted my ankle and couldn’t dance for a 1 year, it l led me to focus more on working behind the scenes. After a successful PR experience in Paris, when I moved to the U.S, I decided to continue the experience in the PR field. I never looked back since then.

8) What makes you Definitely Amazing?

OD: Thank you for referring me as such! I think what makes me amazing is the fact that I strive to be different. I don’t come from a traditional PR background and I’m very proud of that. I was able to learn English very fast and I speak four foreign languages. Most importantly, I was able to make a living in a country known to be very competitive. I hope that makes me somewhat amazing. :)

9) What are some of the qualities you look forward to in picking a Definitely Amazing gentleman?

OD: Huh? Are we still discussing PR? *Smiles*. On professional level, I like the fact that men rarely put feelings into making business decisions, so I like to deal with a gentleman who is really business-savvy. On a personal level, I like when a man is not afraid of his girl’s success. Confidence, intelligence, business savvy and integrity are some of the qualities I would look at.

10) What's next for I AM PR?

OD: I AM PR Agency will conquer the world one campaign at the time. I’m currently in the process of revamping and re-boosting the I AM PR brand. So be on the look out for that. I AM PR Agency will be involved in more special events in 2011. I also would like to create a European division of the company, but that’s another convo.

Tasty Tuesday Presents: Woo Lae Oak

This weekend I had the pleasure of going out on an amazing date with an amazing woman, (waves hey) at the Definitely Amazing Korean restaurant Woo Lae Oak. This place is a definite five star from the service, to the food, right down to the ambiance of the place. My Assistant/Stylist the extraodinary Ms. L made my reservations via OpenTable and when we arrived we were seated immediately. We decided to enjoy their Authetic Korean BBQ and boy was it good. I recomend the Dak (sliced Chicken Breast) delicious. Our waiterwas very friendly and the food was delivered promtly. Our dishes were delivered with a bowl of steamed white rice, a tasty and zesty Romaine salad, as well as assorted 'namul' side dishes. All tables are fitted with smokeless grills and we each prepared our dishes to our own desired liking. Me and my wonderful date had fun using the chop sticks (She is an expert, me not so much lol) and our wine was also to our liking. They have a fully stocked bar which you can also order from, and their dessert menu sounds appetizing ( We were to full for Dessert but they have this chocolate cake I got to try). The service like I said earlier was great, but it was the feel and decore of the place that spoke to our senses. This place gets a 5star rating from me and a recommendation to all our readers from me as well make sure you check it out.

New York Feeling Definitely Amazing: Carmelo Anthony is a Knick

Is he Definitely Amazing? Now that we got him Let's See.

The New York Knicks have finally nabbed Carmelo Anthony, after a weekend of pulling and tugging with the Nets in a tug-o-war for the now former Denver Nugget Anthony. This wasn't without casulties to our starting line-up, as the Nuggets get Raymond Felton, Danilo Gallinari, Timofey Mozgov, Wilson Chandler and not 2 mention New York's 2014 first-round draft pick. But we get Anthony, Chauncey Billups, Shelden Williams, Anthony Carter and Renaldo Balkman. Some might say was Anthony worth all of this? Like many people said last night on twitter, If the Knicks dont bring home at least the Eastern Conference Championship then it wasnt worth it. I dont 100% agree with that notion but like the Lebron fiasco in Miami, fans dont want more fan fare, they want results and they want championships. For me I think Anthony will be a great addition to the team, him and Stoudemire could most Definitely bring future championships, but will we see those championships in the very near future.... I dont think so. Look New York we have a great team, so stop whinning about who else we need to complete this imaginary puzzle in your heads. Let's all just sit back and watch as the NBA likes to say "Amazing Things" Happen it should be fun and very interesting in the upcoming games. Who knows maybe the Knicks will become Definitely Amazing.

Khid 2Che: Because we're versatile and we touch all styles and aspects of music. There's not a style that we can't do.

What would you guys say are the main elements of a Phenomenal Hip-Hop Group?

E.Y.E. Q.: Being cohesive, cooperative, and clutch all at the same time

J. Monopoly: Yea, it's important that everyone is on the same page. Has to be a mutual meeting ground

Your name is something else and it definitely gets a rise out of people. What was the origin of the name and origin of your group?

J. Monopoly: All 5 of us went to L.I.C. High School together. I remember we would cut class and freestyle in the lunchroom, I'd rap and Q would always make beats on the table. I had a bunch of friends that rapped and we'd always meet up there. So I was like "Why not get everybody together and do something?" It started with just Q and I, then we met 2Che and Showtyme and found out they rapped. J.O. would always be in the lunchroom chillin' with us and what not. He came into the fold almost a year later when we found out he rhymed. The name just came to me one day, cause it symbolized what we represented. We wanted to bring something different to music, so the name showed that. And it symbolized takeover.

Why do you think the era of the Group in Hip-Hop from the golden age has disappeared?

J.O.: The togetherness isn't there anymore.

J. Monopoly: I feel like people change and grow, they expand want to do other things, and grow apart

Khid 2Che: Cats have too much ego to want to stay in a group and get something done.

One of your most lyrical tracks in my opinion is "No Fabrication" is also one of my favorite joints. How did this track come about and what is the meaning of the track?

J.O : I produced the track,Q laid his verse down,I wrote the chorus and all else followed. The track establishes our authenticity in our performances , style and songs.

E.Y.E.Q. : No Fabrication is a statement where in we're separating ourselves from the pack of other artists that do the same , act the same and just reflect the bullshit we feel is killing our art.

If you guys weren't a group and weren't doing music what other ways would you be Definitely Amazing?

Khid 2Che : I'm good at graphic design...and talking to the female kind...but I'm far better at graphic design.

E.Y.E.Q. : I think I'd be an awesome journalist. Maybe dealing within the sporting area ,that's my 2nd passion.

Showtyme : Definitely dancing ,I b-boy on the side when I'm not recording. I won the King tut competition a couple months back.

J.O. : I'd be in school.

J.Monopoly : Dj'ing/producing ,probably pursue an acting career. I'd probably be a screenwriter or write for a magazine also.

Okay February 6th is the date and the match up is set, The Pack versus The Black & Yellow. In a year where many predictions were being made at the beginning of the season, it was almost impossible for anyone to know for sure who would be this years NFC and AFC champions. Lets face it, the Jets swore up and down this was there year via their HBO Special "Hard Knocks". The Cowboys believed it was almost destined for them because the Super Bowl would be held at Cowboys Stadium. Not to mention the good ole Giants who came close but no Cigar. For Steelers fans this season was their season from the beginning, and no one said it better than Hip Hop artist and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native Wiz Khalifa with his chart topping hit "Black & Yellow" .

So now the Lombardi trophy is up for grabs between the Packers with their 3 Super Bowl victories and the Steelers and their impressive 6 championships.

In a world where it seems lately the news is just too depressing and devestating, every now and again one story makes you truely say thats beautiful and Definitely Amazing. Carlina White's story is just that kind of story. This story made me actually say "Now thats Definitely Amazing".

On Tuesday 23 year old, Carlina White was reunited with the family she was snatched from so many years ago. At just 3 weeks old, then just a beautiful infant at the hospital reciving care for a fever, White was kidnapped from that hospital and put into what can only now seem like a nightmare. Now that this nightmare has ended, this family can finally begin to repair their relationship. This story meant so much to so many people that I had to declare this the DA Story of the week

studio making sure every line to every song is perfect! We are down to work . We reach out and respond back to our fans, we love to perform, we are just an all around fresh sound!

2) How did you become a group?

Kira: I’ m the newest addition to the group, I received a message from Dre Dinero on MySpace about the group Trillogy saying that he had a spot he thought I would be a great fit for..... I called him, we meet up and I decided that I would take a chance and become part of the group and here we are making beautiful music.

Ox: Trillogy became a group thru our management team..seeing that the game was lacking in certain areas Dre Dinero and Ronnie Knottz decided to put together a Trillogy . I was already a solo artist signed to Starr Media Group it was my turn. The name Trillogy describes love life and loyalty I rep Life.

Jay Will: Was kind of crazy how it went down , Dre and I have a mutual friend that does allot of engineer work for the label . Dre was looking for a male singer for a particular song so I got the call came through did my thing . Not too long after that Dre gave me an offer I couldn’t refuse

3) Why do you think the era of the Group in Hip-Hop from the golden age has disappeared?
Trillogy: It because making music has become more about who you know and not about making music . It’s like it’s become more selfish.

4) What are some of the things we can expect from the 1st release out of the Three Installments of your
album?
Trillogy: Love , Life and Loyalty respectfully we are trying to make the rewind button obsolete with this one something you can put on and go through from front to back

5) How did you come up with the concept to release this album in three different Installments?
Trillogy: That came from Smallz he came up with idea during one of our weekend brainstorming sessions ,,Its really about being different and giving the fan something to look forward to

6) If Trillogy wasn't created where would each of you be and what would you be up too?
Trillogy: Doing solo projects , we all have solo deals with Starr Media Group also so pretty much the same thing recording performing and cross marketing with our label mates.
7) What are the elements of a Definitely Amazing Music Group?
Trillogy :We would have to say #1 is being true to self or should I say true to the music, not grabbing onto the newest trend out there. #2 Hard work #3 Being humbled by the privilege to do what we do

8) What was it like shooting the video for "Ride Around Town" ?
Trillogy : Crazy we got to work with Jay Rodriguez of Itchy House Films . This was our second video so we really understood the process a lot better than when we did during the Warning video shoot. All in all its mad fun .

9) What's next for Trillogy?

Trillogy : Right now we are doing a lot of shows preparing for the drop of the Album which has a lot of gems that will definitely surprise or fans . We are also in the middle of making that leap from the underground to the mainstream

Gentleman Tip of the week:Giving Effort & Attention

I haven't done one of these in a longtime, so I said hey I believe its time to bring it back. So In the spirit of giving, I've decided to give tips on give the most of yourself to your significant other. We are all guilty of it, we think we have been there, given enough time and attention, we even go as far to say "What about me?" to defend our selves when accused of not giving enough time & or attention. The thing is, as corny as it may sound the little things do count. The little things add up. A good friend of mine is a frequent user of this iconic phrase "It’s not what you say; its how you say it". Well the same implies here, It’s not always the what, It usually boils down to the how, when, and why. So without further adeu, Ladies & Gentleman I give you a tip for both sexes.

First we will start with my favorite, "The How". So let's say for the purpose of this convo, you and your significant other live far away maybe long distance even. One of the biggest killers of these types of relationships, (Besides trust issues, whew that's a whole other ball game) is lack of effort and attention.

Now let me say for the nay sayers out there who are going to jump down my throat, (Look at them ready to high dive splash on me) I don't mean a little bit of effort here and there, I mean real down to earth as if they were here right now in the same state effort.

You see what happens with these relationships is very simple. Guy and girl like each other a lot, and when they first hit the attraction button they're texting everyday, emailing non-stop, Social Networking like crazy.

Then they finally see each other after a long time away with patience and they can't get enough of each other. Then they hit that wall. Yes people that wall where one of the parties in question, starts to text a little less, call a little less, ya get the picture right? Now don't go all conspiracy theory on me just yet. In this case the participant is not cheating, no in fact they're just living their life, believing (and I put that in bold Italic for a reason) they got this in the bag and he or she isn't going anywhere.

WRONG, BUZZ, GONG, SIREN GOES OFF, all because you are completely incorrect. Never get complacent; never think your spot is too good to be replaced. Mrs. Knowles said it best never think you’re "Irreplaceable" because you’re especially not whether you’re in a long distance relationship or not in one. Your significant other begins to wonder are you worth their time and effort? are you cheating? do you even notice that this lack of effort and attention on your part upsets them? Once these questions begin, they don't end until you do something about it.

Tip #1 Text him or her in the morning and let them know how important they are to you by saying something special each day that makes you smile when you think of them. Then each night let them know their in your prayers (If you pray) or your thoughts and you hope to speak or hear from them in the morning.

Tip #2 Stevie Wonder's song isn't just a song; it should be a regular occurrence, If not daily at least weekly. Calling to say I love you (Only if your at that point in the relationship where you've said before and meant it) makes a person light up, even if its just a short call or voicemail or text to say this was on your mind and you had to say it.

Tip #3 For those long distance folk, spice it up with a video of pleasure for their eyes only (I stress this isn't for your homeboys fellas smh) and fellas you can do this to. Let them know you crave them.

Tip #4 Pop-up visits (use with caution for those of you in "those kinds of relationships" lol) stop by the job after texting them for lunch and bring them lunch or take them to lunch. Stopping by to bring flowers or sending flowers doesn't hurt and isn't out of style fellas. Take a weekend trip to go see them and bring a desert (Or just you and some desert topping, naughty).

And Finally tip #5 Sending an email, write a letter (Gasp those still exist? Support your local post office and send a damn written or typed letter once and a while smh lol) or even card to them with a special message of caring or love, or even a surprise.

You see it really is the thought that counts with all of these tips, and if you put a little thought into the tip and make it your own, the possibilities are endless.

1) Tell us who Jesse is and why should people listen to your music?

JA: Jesse is I; I’m Jesse. It’s me. A dude born in NYC, raised by the city’s culture, and inextricably influenced by the life with which such an environment has provided me, I am a wide variety of elements. I could be perceived as a contradiction or perhaps as multi-faceted, as I certainly represent and am a variety of distinct ideas. But I think we as humans are all like this; I’m just expressively eclectic I suppose. This concept of musically projecting diversity is one of the reasons I feel my work is worth hearing – I have a unique perspective to share, and I share it whole-heartedly. I make music from the most honest part of myself, in an attempt to communicate with the truth within each listener. My music is playful, thoughtful, challenging and amusing. Plus, I aim to make tracks that would appeal to devoted hip-hop heads, casual rap fans & general human beings alike. My work is honest, it’s inimitable; it’s just flat out dope art.

2) Name some of your Definitely Amazing inspirations that helped you create this project "Bars & No Bull"

JA: Literally everything I experience acts as an inspiration for me – my tutoring company, my relationships with other heads in the NYC underground community, my city, my family, my friends outside of music, my ankles, squirrels, green tea, Genghis Khan, the color blue…it’s all in me, and it’s all in my music. Bars & NoBull is a project I’ve been working on since Dec ’09. It reflects the fun and growth I’ve experienced as a human and as an emcee over the last year, and every smile that I’ve seen emerge as a result of something I’ve done on the mic or on stage was definitely an amazing source of inspiration for me while creating this project.

3) What was the idea behind the concept of your album?

JA: To me, music is pure & perfect, no matter what – I aim to embody its truest essence in my work and reflect the joy I experience with it to my listeners. I feel Bars & NoBull accomplishes that, as I aimed for it to act as a mirror. The more that listeners get to know me the more they’ll get to know themselves; this is how I feel with every song I create. This project was simply another attempt at making some art that would make people smile, think, dance, wonder and wish. I like causing reactions and inspiring people to feel inspired. That was my goal with this tape.

4) Tell us an album or moment in Hip-Hop that made you the artist you are today

JA: Wow. It’s tough to narrow it down to one album or moment, but one that stands out amongst many is By All Mean Necessary by Boogie Down Productions. I was literally six years old when I started bumping that tape, and it nearly immediately began to mold me into the person I’ve become. KRS-1 is such a fascinating artist, as his music (especially in the 80’s) was so raw, riveting, revealing and radical. I had been listening to hip-hop already when this came out, but mostly to lighter music like The Beastie Boys, Salt N Pepa, and DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince…KRS introduced me to the world of lyrical knowledge, wordplay and machismo. That tape took my interest in hip-hop and transformed it into a passion.

5) Lyrically what can we expect from this project?

JA: The content of this tape ranges quite a bit, as I was aiming for this project to embody the multitude of perspectives and perceptions that I represent. I rhyme about myself a lot on this record, which is something I didn’t realize until looking back on it as a whole. I tell some stories, talk some shit, make a few wise cracks and play with language a lot. When creating each song on this project, I aimed to have it so that if someone asked me, “What’s this song about?” I would have a specific and direct answer. I like rhyming about concepts that other emcees have yet to speak on, and with this project I, for the first time, attempted to craft a few joints that would be as universally accessible as possible. But no matter what the subject matter, my darts are sharp. There are tons of lyrical goodies in this tape if you dig deep – I do flip some wild wordplay.

6) Who are some of the Underground or Independent artists you would love to work with in the near future?

JA: I have a few tricks up my sleeve that I won’t reveal just yet, but my wish list is slowly being quenched. Outside of heads who I know personally (because to choose from that list would literally be impossible) I would love to work with artists like Tonedeff, Aesop Rock, J-Live, MC Paul Barman, Morcheeba, Slug, Gift of Gab, Bonobo…So you can make this happen, right? Cool thanks.

7) Explain the creative concept behind "YOGA"

JA: The funny thing about ‘Yoga’ is that it essentially is a parody. The cadence is a satire of the simplistic rhyme style that a lot of emcees seem to use these days, and while I’m not trying to make fun of that technique in the song it isn’t really meant to be taken seriously either. Conceptually the track draws parallels between the Hindu discipline that strives to assist in the attainment of perfect spiritual tranquility, and coitus. So yeah, it’s a song about physical delights.

8) Did you expect "YOGA" to become such a hit?

JA: First off thank you for describing it is such complimentary terms! What a pleasant sentence to hear. When Spills and I were crafting the song there certainly was a particularly prodigious flavor in the air. The album Alphabutter that Spills and I dropped in January ‘10 was incredibly organic and fun in its inception, and we felt like the music reflected that. I think we were able to capture that same essence in the 45 minutes we spent creating ‘Yoga’. I’ve always felt that the more fun an artist has while creating/performing their work, the more exuberantly the audience will receive it. But the response from live crowds and from the general public has been enjoyably overwhelming and I am very grateful, yep.

9) How did you get started in Hip-Hop and why Hip-Hop and not anything else?

JA: I was born into hip-hop. Raised by two public school teachers in lower Manhattan’s art scene in the early ’80s, I was exposed to the formative stages of hip-hop culture at all times. Enthralled by break-dancers as a toddler I used to imitate their moves and pretend to be a B-Boy when I was three or four. Graffiti was a constant visual stimulant in Manhattan and rappers on the radio and television immediately grabbed me as fascinating characters. Additionally, I started writing poetry when I was in first and second grade, so when I was eight and my mom got me a Kawasaki drum machine for my birthday I immediately recorded a demo. I still have that tape – it’s awesome. But I certainly didn’t limit myself to hip-hop in terms of creative expression. I was passionate about acting as a child and I used to audition/work in commercials. Creative writing was my main focus as a teenager, and later on in high school I got into stand-up and improv comedy, working at a few clubs in the city. But no matter what side projects I was involved in, I was always writing rhymes, freestyling and studying the elements of hip-hop. It’s been the one true constant in my existence, aside from bagels and orange juice.

10) What's next for Jesse Abraham?

JA: I’ll be releasing my first music video (for ‘Yoga’) on October 18th, shot by Noisemaker Media. On November 1st the second single off of Bars & NoBull will be released via DJBooth, a song called ‘Little Bit of Everything.’ That song will also be accompanied by a video, also shot by Noisemaker. I’m working on a bunch of shows and performances to round out 2010. Then on March 01st, 2011 I will be releasing an EP entitled The One, which is about 80% complete right now. Besides that I hope to experience more friends, smiles, lessons and adventures as time continues to unravel.

Infact it wasn't till after I saw her rock with, M-TRI that I found out how awesome she really was. The Beautiful DJ Leecy T just has an aura about her, a kind of welcoming aura, but when she steps behind those turntables, whew she transforms into a master of the mix. So let's get to know the person behind the cutting & scratching.

LT: I believe in myself and in my ability to achieve my goals.

Besides Hip-Hop, what other music makes Leecy T Spin?

LT: I actually like all kinds of music. Looking at my ipod now there's some Nirvana, XTC, Metallica, Miles Davis, Mary J. Blige, house, and classical music. I really enjoy classical music, especially Mozart.

Why did you choose to become a DJ? What was it about the Art of a DJ, that made you say yeah that's what I want to do?

LT: The turntables have been around me for a long time. I would play music on them but not seriously until M-TRI showed me how to really play them as an instrument. Being able to select the music, rock a party and see people having a good time is initially what made me decide that being a Dj was what I wanted to do.

DJ's are as important to Hip-Hop history, as seasoning is to Cooking. Why do you think DJ's are so influential to the genre?

LT: I feel that the Dj is the foundation of the genre. It started with park jams and block parties in the Bronx with Dj’s isolating and extending funk, soul and disco breaks. Then came the emcee.

How did you and M-Tri come together as a DJ & Artist duo?

LT: M-TRI & DJ Leecy T came together at the right time. M-TRI was looking for a Dj when he performed live and I was taking a break from modeling and before I knew it we were rocking a show at Southpaw and I was doing guest sets with him when he would spin parties.

What knowledge have you gained this year, that you'd like to bestow on the next young, lady hoping to become a Definitely Amazing woman one day?

LT: I learned that you really have to work hard for what you want out of life. I would tell the aspiring young lady that whatever her passion is, don't give up until you are doing what truly makes you happy. That applies to every aspect of life.

What F'N Fantastic Fashion do you have in your wardrobe that is a must have for other Definitely Amazing ladies?

LT: Hidden platform shoes. They're hot.

Sidebar Question: Favorite sports team and predictions for their season outcome?

LT: Sorry to say but I don't have a favorite sports team. I enjoy watching tennis, but no one in particular.

What does Leecy T look for in her Definitely Amazing Gentleman?

LT: He definitely has to be a gentleman and be able to make me laugh and we have to exist together as a team!

What's next on the horizon for you ?

LT: . M-TRI and DJ Leecy T were recently an Emcee to Emcee feature. It's a Ralph McDaniels show that features a legend or two in hip hop and two up and coming acts. It's like the legend passing the torch for a better future in hip hop. I just hosted a mixtape for MC Lyte's Hip Hop Sisters. It's called, "MC Lyte's Hip Hop Sisters-DJ Leecy T presents: We Got Now Vol. I." People are always asking about the femcees, so this mixtape is the answer. All great talent. It was an honor to be a part of the project.

Gentleman Tip of the week: Appeal 2 Her 5 Senses

Today’s tip is all about stimulating her senses, these are all little things that will be greatly appreciated.

Each of these tips as you’ve might of guessed, deals with a particular sense of your significant other.

First we will discuss the most important sense of the five, the sense of smell. As men, we love a woman who smells good, so what makes you think women don’t want the same out of us.Women work very hard to make themselves look & smell like a million bucks for us, so we should do the same. One way we can start smelling, Definitely Amazing for our women is with our bath soap. Next time your out shopping for bath soap try looking for scents that accentuate your own scent. Certain scents that women like to smell on men, include but are not limited to are citrus, cinnamon, coconut just to name a few. Next is your deodorant, I believe that Old Spice does a great job when it comes to this area. Their “Swagger” scent actually smells very good, it doesn’t have an overpowering scent and it comes off appealing rather than of putting. Now on to a fragrance, you need to pick a cologne that when you apply it, it enhances your natural scent but doesn’t take control and becomes too much. For the quiet confident type, Calvin Klein’s Obsession is a great choice and if applied in the right places, in the right amount it can do wonders for you. Now when applying cologne you want to place it on your skin, not in your fabric because it will fade and loose it’s affect. You want to apply it on spots, where your heat emanates from your body strongly. Also you want to apply it lightly in spots, your significant other comes in contact with a lot. For instance, right under your Adam’s apple, the back of your neck, or even behind the ear. Remember a little goes a long way fellas.

Next is the sense of sight, now I know your like what? But believe me these tips are going to be cool. Listen to your woman and pay attention to colors she likes on you, then try to find those colors for your apparel. If your woman likes light colors, try buying button downs with light colors, or try adding a scarf in a light color or tie with some style. Another tip is one most men don’t realize, brothers go get a manicure and pedicure ( at least the Manicure) a well groomed man includes his hands and feet. Newsflash guys, women like they dude to have a variety of styles, so make sure you think out the box and don’t just concern yourself with your regular style. Trick to finding out what she likes on you is ask her to shop with you, she’ll appreciate it more when the both of you pick out something together.

Taste is up next and as you might of guessed, It deals with food duh! I wont go in on this one but I believe a man should know how to cook or at least learn, but if not try to take her to different places. Introduce her to new spots to dine, also remember what she loves (Favorite Food) and research places that serve this and do it well. Show her new taste to her palate, and make her smile by showing you really thought things out.

Next is the sense of hearing, this is pretty straight forward but if you need a little help here it is. Pay attention to music she likes, artist she listens to, and make sure that you have that readily available. I’m not just talking about in your bedroom, I’m talking about in your car stereo fellas. She’ll appreciate the fact that you are constantly thinking of her.

Finally last but not least, the sense of feel. In order to hit this in all areas I’ve decided, Ill discuss it in two parts. First we will talk about on you, things she’ll come in contact with on your body. You want to be clean shaved for her right? Well guys having a body, that’s clean shaved is also very appreciated. We always talk about we want our woman shaved down there, well fellas if you take time to clean shave yourself down there she will be a lot more open to be obliged to perform amazingly down there. Then brothers there are the fabrics on your bed, if she is staying the night at your spot a lot, make sure she is comfortable. Try some silk sheets, or smooth fabrics that feel good the skin and make sure they’re on the bed when she comes over for real.

These tips are all optional in how you apply them, but make sure you think of her when you begin to think of how to do them. Be Definitely Amazing Fellas!!!!!

Who is Coole High, and what makes you Definitely Amazing?

CH: Coole High, is a cool, calm, laid back brother who has the ability to grab random frequencies from the air and channel them to make harmonious sound for the masses.

Coole, when you finally put down the Microphone, what is the legacy you would like left behind?

CH: I’d like to know that I left a world of free thinking individuals. Using my words and my music to help influence society for the betterment of themselves and the world is one of the biggest things that I would like to know I helped to build.

Could you tell us, a moment of Hip-Hop history that made you say, this is why I love Hip-Hop?

CH: There are soo many, hmmm… I guess when Will Smith won his Grammy (first hip hop artist to get it), or witnessing the streets of Bed-Stuy go crazy when Biggie Smalls funeral procession rolled down Fulton Av. Hip-hop is life; it’s a way of living, good or bad.

Your style embodies a Hip-Hop stew, a mixture of genres that come together so well. What are some of your favorite genres of music you've incorporated in your own style?

CH: My favorite genres would be what I grew up with, Jazz, Funk, Soul, and R&B.

Your album "Futuristically Speaking" is said to take the listener to a different dimension, with the lyrics and the beats. Let us know how it was creating such a project, and what are your aspirations for the album?

CH: The “Futuristically Speaking” album took about 4 years to complete (get it to where it was releasable). There were a lot of songs that were recorded that got cut due to the number of songs at the end of the day. After I re-thought about the theme and what I wanted to convey with the ideology of “Futuristically Speaking”, other songs got cut because they simply made no sense being under the title. Of course life settles in and kicks you in the ass at times, sometimes harder than others. There were some moments that I didn’t think I was going to release the project at all. But, all in all, I managed to keep the right people and energy around me, which motivated me to create a different vibe and songs for the album that DID make sense. What I found is that more people live for later or live in the past, instead of living in the NOW. To me, the future is very unpredictable, so what’s more important is what we can do NOW. “NOW” is the message and idea that I’m hoping is conveyed to the listener. “NOW” is what predicts the future to a large extent. What we as a people do NOW is what’s most important.

So as I read up on you, I found out you've produced full-length movie scores. What is the process of producing a movie score, and tell us the differences in producing for a film, and for an album?

CH: My experience was first reading the script. From there I got the idea of where music can be placed and how. Then looking at the edits and cuts, and feeling what the actors are feeling when they’re doing their thing. My job is to musically convey these feelings and emotions even if there weren’t any dialog. Once that’s done, then it’s time to find music or create it. I’m not greedy so I had no problem with getting music from other artists to fill the voids or themes. Then the director, producer, etc. gets to watch the film in it’s entirety. Once approved then it’s off to rendering the final cut and in the can it goes. Producing an album requires less involvement in visual aesthetics but conveying the theme or idea of your title is what’s kind of similar in theory.

Staying on the movie theme, what are some your favorite films of this year and why? Follow up question; name your favorite film soundtrack?

CH: Favorite film of this year was “Inception”. Greatly casted and a well written story. As far as soundtracks, I’d have to go with “Black Ceasar”, “3 The Hard Way”, Cooley High (Of course). There are many and that’s only because there are a few films that producers actually made music for the film, which is really dope to me!

How did the creation of "Sir-Real" come about and what do you want people to take from that song?

CH: “Sir Reel” came about with the notion that my life is like my own personal movie. Everyone’s life is like that. Some people take that to another level and create some really outlandish ish for themselves. It’s almost like living in a surreal environment. Remember that reality show? (I HATE REALITY SHOWS). I just want people to really take a moment to look at how they’re living and how your lifestyle might affect others.

You and the phenomenal artist, Tah Phrum Duh Bush put together a Definitely Amazing event called "Future Insomniac". Tell us a little more about the creation of this event and what it meant to you as an artist, to release your album along with him?

CH: So I was on the verge of finishing my album and I told Tah I wanted to do a theatrical play for my album at the “Producers Club” about 2 years ago and I wanted Gus Gauntlet help me with it. He thought it was a dope idea. After a few more setbacks and album revisions on my end, he was closer to finishing his project and said, “Yo, we should do an album release together”. I thought it was a great idea but didn’t know how we’d do it since we have 2 different themes. Then after a few comrades did joint album release concerts/parties, we were like “DAMN! How are we gonna do this now?”. We thought about it and I remembered my initial idea. That’s when we decided to go ahead and call Gus and ask him for his help. Gus listened to both albums and came up with an incredible script displaying both of our themes and provided an excellent means of interaction between us on stage. The segway acts were really amazing and they fit perfectly into the script. Honestly, Gus gets major props for putting our themes together the way he did. To release an album with Tah is something we’ve been talking about for a long time. We’ve been in this business for a little over a decade and I’ve always admired his music, and his showmanship. He is an amazing performer and entertainer and I’m always honored to share the stage with him. These are our biggest works to date so I guess you can say it was a big deal.

Hip-Hop has evolved over the years, having its high's & low's. What is your hope for the young indie artist, and underground artist, as they continue to push on in this genre?

CH: Continue to think out of the box. Find ways to evolve and involve your music and sound beyond the realm of “underground”. There are some aspects of the business that I really don’t agree with that most aspiring artists feel that they have to do in order to “make it”. There are soo many ways to “make it” without losing your dignity or compromising your ideals. Seek other means of funding your projects, whether it be private sponsors or companies outside of the music industry. They are always willing to spread the name of their product so long as it makes sense. Most of all, be truthful to yourselves. Not everyone can do this. Some people don’t choose to believe this and it becomes more of a hobby for others.

What's next for Coole High?

CH: The Dev Quincy Chronicles – It’s a completely different kind of project (still hip hop though). I’m not going to say anything else about it other than be on the look out for this project next year. Follow me on Facebook or Twitter for updates about it.

OB: Not only am I fashion designer I am also a graphic designer, makeup artist & photographer. Some people also label me as a model how ever I don't like to label myself as that because I honestly just enjoy taking pictures.

Miss Odessa, give us your definition of the Phrase "F'N Fantastic Fashion”?

OB: I think it defines anyone who has a sense of fashion that doesn't conform to a specific set of rules. Fashion is supposed to push boundaries and I think anyone who is fantastic has to be able to stand out and set trends or take a trend to the next level.

How did you begin your modeling career and did you always have the idea of modeling as a stepping stone to other careers?

OB: I actually was approached about modeling after my pictures were all over the Internet on fake profiles. At first I didn't really take the offer serious it was more for fun. I shot with the same person continuously and got very comfortable working with the same team. it has pushed me to venture off into other things and I always figured it would.

Before "Killture" what were your aspirations in fashion?

OB: I've always sewn clothing or customized things of my own. It's always been a hobby of mine and I've always wanted to share my designs and creativity with other people.

What were your thoughts on some of the Fashion styles and looks worn at the B.E.T. Awards this year?

OB: I actually did not watch the awards...I rarely watch TV at all lol !

Tell us about the origin of Killture?

OB: Killture started as custom eye wear. I was making pieces for myself and when I would wear them out people would ask me where I got them and I would say I made them. I got request for to make shades for other people and thought well i might as well make a shop online and take it to the next level. I decided to name my line "Killture" which is actually the combination of the words "Kill" and "Couture" and it means Couture to kill for. You always hear women speaking on fashion and saying "I would kill for that" and that's how I wanted people to feel when they looked at my pieces.

What makes Killture "DefinitelyAmazing"?

OB: I think Killture is "definitely amazing" for a lot of reasons. Killture is unique and its always going to evolve.

What else do you have planned for this yr?

OB: This year I am going to drop a new collection and keep promoting the brand.

What's next for Killture and Miss Odessa?

OB: I am taking Killture in another direction not only will the new collection have new styles of sunglasses but we will carry jewelry and clothing as well. I'm in the process of doing the design work for everything now.

Hip-Hop Ya Don't Stop: EQ Radio's "We Are The Underground" Event

Hip-Hop was in full effect, at the Equilibrium Radio "We Are The Underground" Fundraising event. The venue was Southpaw, the artist line-up Amazing, and the night ripe for emcee supremacy. This event also had a proverbial who's who from the underground entertainment community, It was a real Hip-Hop family affair. The Fantastic family affair included the Mecca of the Hip-Hop Sisters, Elizabeth Allen of Emaphotography, and the always fun Charlotte Mishell.

EQ Radio's own Crys Breezy & Tah Phrum Duh Bush did a phenomenal job hosting this event, with the right amount of humor and energy. Breezy & Tah encouraged crowd participation, a staple of the Hip-Hop event as they brought out each performer. With Dj Super Dave playing the hits in the background, the stage was set for some awesome performances.

First up was the very raw and lyrical microphone fiend, Learnz. Learnz gave us the kind of opening that got the crowd amped for more, a solid performance for sure. Next up the crowd was in for a treat, Operation Industry Shut Down, otherwise known as O.I.S.D . This group reminds me of the days of the Hip-Hop group, like Leaders of The New School, Tribe Called Quest, and even the raw lyrical ability of the Wu-Tang Clan. With a sense of stage presence rarely seen these days, O.I.S.D took command of the crowd while entertaining us with great music. So the crowd was hype, energized and ready for the exceptional sounds of the fantastic lyrical Coole High. Coole brought his unique style and crowd control that just was sight to see. Next Mr. Beatz showed us his lyrical skill, and even brought a guest appearance from Homeboy Sandman always a lyrical treat.

The second half of the show brought the inspiring, entertaining, and Amazing LaRue & The B.U.R.N. U Movement. They rocked the crowd, with Hip-Hop & R&B, and even showed us a new dance. They were followed up by the awesome M-Tri and the Fantastic DJ Leecy T. This woman is a Dope DJ with fantastic skills that do the talking for her. Their show was Uber to say the least.

The show ended with 3 Fantastic performances worthy of concert like venue. The Gecko Brothers shut the show down the stage with a legendary performance. Their performance was hype, energetic, lyrical and oh so entertaining. Then doing it big as usual, the humble but extraordinary AtLas took the stage. This performance was full of Freestyling, showcasing her Mic control over the crowd, and even the appearance of GNU ( Kween Kash & Likwuid). Last but certainly not least, the dynamic duo known as The Sleepwalkas. They closed the show like the champions they are, a fantastic performance that showed why they were the closers. She is the stylish, and always dope Ms. Doperah Styles and the co-creator of the awesome show known as "The Come Up". A showcase for the up and coming indie artist looking to shine. This woman is gorgeous but she is way more than a pretty face. She embodies hardwork and grind. She's Definitely Amazing and oh so Dope!

Tell us who "Doperah Styles" is and why your Definitely Amazing?

Ds: Doperah Styles is a laid back, kind hearted, hard working individual who is very much into Fashion, music and poetry, who resides in Queens, NY. I'm Definitely Amazing because of my ability to remain humble and modest in all the things that I accomplish, I feel that staying level headed and being able to give back is one of the greatest things a human being can do in their lifetime especially without expecting anything in return.

When you started grinding in the underground entertainment game what were some of your expectations and some of your biggest let downs?

Ds: My biggest expectations were that everyone underground was hungry, focused and relentless about making it in the big league. But I've come to realize that a lot of people are just pure talk, don't get me wrong there are a lot of artist out there that are very talented but in my opinion don't really believe in their craft. I say that because if you’re a person that is pursuing a career in the industry you have to be confident enough to know that the very thing you are doing will take you to a higher level. A lot of times what I do find is a person will miss an important interview or show because they couldn't get off of work early or there's a social event that comes once a year and they felt that was more important. Are you kidding me? Jay-Z said it best "9-5 is how you survive, i ain't tryna survive, I'm tryna live it to the limit and love it a lot". Its sad when someone doesn't put their passion first and has a great team behind them, but the team seem to be the one's that are more hungry then the artist.

Biggest let down being apart of something with great potential to make it big but everyone involved isn't on the same page. I've learned very fast and thank God not the hard way that everyone has their own agenda in pursuing their own things, that's all good and dandy but I'm not into the cut throat business! word of advice know the people that are apart of your team, always keep your grass cut low and the moment you recognize a snake stomp them out!

Your event "The Come Up" was very successful, what do you believe was the reason or reasons for its success?

Ds: I feel it was successful because I took the time out to plan precisely (while working my 9-5), it wasn't a rushed job and if I wasn't sure of something i asked questions. I definitely did it my way, but its always so much better when you have the right people in your corner that'll tell you the real deal and not sugar coat anything and all I kept on hearing is "you got everything figured out keep working". I also approached the project with lots of confidence and an “I will not lose” attitude. I stayed on top of my game and pushed myself to a different level everyday saying "this is not just another showcase, this is The Come Up" my showcase.

How did you choose the artist, and judges for this event, what were some of the attributes you were looking for from an artist?

Ds: At first I approached artist that I was familiar with that i wanted to give an opportunity to come out and shine. Everyone was down for the event, not to bash anyone but as time went on I seen that a lot of the artist weren't as diligent as I expected them to be. If you look at the flyer and look at the actual line up you'll notice the difference. Lol. But you know what god id good as went on with the promotion of the event a lot of talent reached out to me and I gave those artists a chance. They showed the work ethic needed to make it far in the business and they showed that they loved what they are doing, that's my main thing if you are serious about your craft and it shows I will definitely extend my hand to you.

The way I chose the judges was by their love of hip-hop and the game. I would like to thank them for their participation and their drive never stopping and always taking things to a higher level. We have DJ BEDTYME (Remy ma's DJ) always turning up the hate whether it be on his online radio show or when he's traveling, then there's the Lady Blogga who speaks the truth and hold no punches. "When she speaks you listen", last but not least Steve "Auck" Day owner of an independent Music Group "Beatz Galaw". I pretty much think that the combination speaks for itself, 3 amazing people that interact with artist everyday so they automatically know exactly what to look for as a judge.

If someone asked you for the ingredients to make the perfect showcase event, what would you tell them?

Ds: Well the only thing I would tell them is to be diligent and if they want the perfect showcase I'm for hire!

What made you want to do a showcase show for unsigned talent?

Ds: To tell you the God's honest truth, the showcase wasn't my idea to begin with shout out to my cousin Cola Keys, this whole thing came about because of her involvement with a fundraiser for our class of 02' 2012 event... but I kind of switch it to a fundraiser to put back into our old H.S. Andrew Jackson Law and Govt... When she asked me to take over the event her argument was since I'm already apart of the underground music entertainment it'll be much easier if i did it and I agreed, that's how "The Come Up" came about.

What's in the works for the next show?

Ds: For the next event I want to actually host the event in the High School to get the students an opportunity to get involved as well as the parents and community. I'm aiming for a November show. Basically I want to show the students never to give up on their dreams no matter what it is, I just want to promote positivity and to show if they believe they can achieve just stay in school so they can obtain a better future!

Who are some of the Definitely Amazing women in your life that make you the woman you are today?

Ds: First I have to say my Grandmother who is no longer with us, as a child growing up she showed me what an amazing woman is about. Always able to provide for her children and grand children and trust me there's a lot of us. lol, next of course is my mother a strong black woman who managed to raise four children on her own never once compromising her worth by doing anything that will shame her family, my mother is very hard working and she does what ever it takes to keep the family together, everyone knows each and every holiday or birthday there will be a big dinner at her house no matter what hard ships she might be facing at the time. I have my aunts who are strong women. No one is ever perfect but they are very real and to have seen the struggles, the fights, disappointments through out the years and none of them have ever once giving up and maintain a smile makes me go that much harder.

What are the ingredients that make up a Hip-Hop tandem like the "SleepWalkas"?

CD: True students of the hip-hop formula, thought provoking lyrics, fun loving

KG: DUALITY!!! you get a lot of different sides of whatever particular spectrum we decide to explore...we live our lives like every single person on this planet, one day and one moment at a time. and all we can give you is what we've bee through...

Tell us the origin of your Group, and what It felt like when you first performed together on stage?

CD: Brooklyn, we formed in are high school years and just spent time perfecting are craft. When we first performed we were rough around the edges but we still killed it.

KG: We been rhyming since high school era (banging on lunch room tables) but we just started going hard in late 2007 and the buzz that we have generated is phenomenal. first time performance is like our last performance , we put it all out there..."We hope you enjoy what we present to ya," -Ciph Diggy-. rocking for the first time is like your first time for everything...you could have done better but it was a beautiful experience!!!

What is it about Hip-Hop that keep you guys writing, recording, and performing?

CD: The feeling when u heard GangStarr or the roots or common and the music filled your heart. It kept it beating, kept u going or made u a more rounded individual. That's what we try and duplicate.

KG: It’s innate, music is a part of our life. Im still trying to understand it and put words to it but the only thing I can say is that "we are Hip Hop, our everyday life personify Hip-Hop. a lot of people do this for material reasons but that's not what motivates us. we do it because these voices need to be heard...not just ours but the peoples

Lyrically, what makes the "SleepWalkas" so Definitely Amazing?

CD: Our lyrics are fun, honest and down right influential. We focus on feel good words of power. Make u enjoy the ride. Were not on top looking down, were right at the bar buying a round.

KG: That’s for you to tell us... we just give the people a piece of us, if they like it, cool, if not then there is something that we do that will make you naturally gravitate towards us...all we work on is being the best that we can, at what we do. if it's amazing...so be it

Who were your favorite Hip-Hop Groups of the past?

CD: Organized Confusion, The Roots, EPMD, Tribe, Artifacts ,De La Soul
KG: Real music is timeless there is way to many to mention I am a student of not just hip-hop but music...jazz, blues, electro, punk, classical ,rock, emo, heavy metal, whatever...so whoever you thought of while reading this, that’s who is my favorite

If you guys could cover any old school joint what would it be and why?

CD: The Roots, EPMD, Tribe, & De La Soul We’d be the best openers

KG: This question is weird because I don’t think you would ask an artist, which Chris Ofili, or Basquiat, or Matisse, or De Goya painting they would re-create...you wouldn’t ask an inventor how to recreate the wheel. those are masterpieces and they have already been done there is a lot of old school joints that I listen to that I would build off of, but I would never cover or remake em. I believe they have already been touched by masters so I would just try to take their perception of a song or vision to a higher level.
After saying all that "The Message" Grand Master Flash and the Furious Five, is my all time favorite song

What are your thoughts on the current state of Lyrics in Hip-Hop, and the importance of thought provoking lyrics in Hip-Hop?

CD: It was only a matter of time the truth always rises to the top. True fans miss thought provoking lyrical content. H.B.sand, Lupie, Wale, Nas, & Jay-Z. Smart ppl want smart music.

KG: Music has always had "pop music" and "soulful underground music." they all serve there purpose...escapism and progression. to me its all in what you choose to follow. I listen to it al. Wack music shows me what not to do and good music pushes me forward...so I appreciate it all

What can we expect from your Forthcoming album The F'N Fantastic Named "Cookie Cutter Cornballs can't cut it on this CD" ?

CD: You can expect a feel good ride that is filled with lyrics, beats, humor and guaranteed anthems.
KG: Good music

Who are some Definitely Amazing Artist that you listen to from the underground or shall I say Indie?

CD: West side riders, Top$raz, Kalil Kash, Coolehigh, Broken English, St. Joe Louis, AOK Collective, Homeboy Sandman, Likwuid, New Rap Order, Premonition, YC The Cinic just about everybody who performs @morebondfire....

KG: The list is way to extensive. I don’t want to forget anyone so I’m going to say the already…

What's next from you guys and what can we expect from the next single off of (6C's) ?

CD: Next is a lot of touring, really want 2 focus on that, and more music.

KG: First single is "Rhyme Flow" ft Sadat X. All I can say is expect us to progress to the next level. We just want to make music and hope you guys appreciate it

Kiki Says: Her-Story PT1 (The history of Female Hip-Hop from her eyes)

History is usually written from the point of view of the people who experienced it first-hand. What people usually forget is the perspective of the spectators on the events or people in history, This is Kiki's perspective on Women in Hip-Hop and the history of women in the genre.

Throughout the years, female Hip Hop has transformed. I first fell in love with Hip Hop during the early 90’s. From the early 80’s through the mid 90’s, there where variations of female rappers such as Salt N Pepper, MC Lyte, Monie Love, and Roxanne Shante. In my opinion, over the last fifteen years, female Hip-Hop has become less empowering and more demoralizing to the image of the black women. Female Hip Hop has taken on a frightening direction influencing our young girls to be sluts. Our young girls are learning how to be a “Five Star Bitch” before they even learn how to fully love themselves and honor their bodies. They are learning to be “Buss-it Babies” before they learn how to properly read and write. Female Hip-Hop has changed drastically for the worst, and as a daughter of Hip-Hop I’m taking it personally.

My earliest recollection of what female Hip-Hop represented was strength. In 1994, Queen Latifah’s released the classic single "U.N.I.T.Y", the song spoke out against the inequalities and disrespect women had to sometimes endure by men. "U.N.I.T.Y" had such a profound message, radio and television stations would play the song without censoring the words “bitch” and “hoes”. “Who you calling a bitch?!” Queen Latifah would shout at the end of every verse, which gave the song a sense of philosophical depth.

I vividly recall when I was eight years old, living in Bed-Stuy hearing "U.N.I.T.Y" for the first time on the radio and feeling empowered by believing my voice mattered in a society, I knew was male driven. Queen Latifah taught female adolescents in order to get respect from a man you unfortunately had to sometimes demand it, and receiving respect was essential, for not just the black woman but for the unity of the black relationship. Even though the song stressed the respect men should have for women, it also focused on the respect a woman must first have for herself.

In 1995, female Hip Hop was introduced to a pint sized lyricist from Brooklyn, Lil Kim. Lil Kim’s delivery was blue, and what I mean by blue, is raunchy, blue cheese raunchy. I remember listening to “Big Momma Thang“, which talks about oral sex, anal sex, and materialism. As a kid I was vastly grossed out by the venom this young beautiful girl was spewing, and bothered that this girl not only looked like me but by how this song was being heard by millions and millions of innocent young ears like mine. The disturbing part about it was I didn’t have to go too far to listen; all I had to do was turn the dial on the radio.

When you first meet her you notice her stylish and stunning fashion, and then once she speaks you get the sense this woman is about her business and you better come correct. Felicia "Jade" Simon is a beautiful young lady who aspires to make her emerging company "Beyond The Basement" a rising star amongst the entertainment community.
So I ask you who is "Jade" ?

Who is Felicia "Jade" Simon, and why are you Definitely Amazing?

JD: Felicia "Jade" Simon is a mom who is 22 years old. I am obsessed with music, fashion and helping others. I am a very cool, honest, hardworking person. A great example of how a human should be lol.

Tell us the origin of Beyond The Basement.

JD: My first event (Art, Music and Culture Convention) which was put together by Quiet Riot Media's founder Felix aka @kidzrevil and myself was a huge success. Afterwards I was approached by a few people who wanted to collaborate with me on hosting and coordinating their events. That's when the idea hit me that I should put together my own events and help create a great environment where others can network under my own brand.

Who are some of the indie artist that you will showcase at this next event on August 25th?

JD: This event is a celebration of Beyond The Basement officially starting, a fundraiser to help BTB financially and to donate some funds to a charity. There wouldn't be much of live music but I do have a artist by the name of Cheeki who will be performing a few songs from her mixtape called "Hear Me Roar" she's pretty dope.

What are some of the things you look for from an artist when considering them for a showcase?

JD: I’m very big on originality, I look for an artist who doesn't sound like the rest. I look for an artist with a strong work ethic, a deep passion for music and someone who has a great personality who isn't hard to work with. I’m not to fond of egos.

Give us your Underground/Indie Hip-Hop fantasy team and Venue for a big performance.

JD: Oh wow... let's see. I have a long lists of artists but my fantasy team would consist of Wordspit, Yc The Cynic, Cocoa Sarai, Shinobi Ninja, Eric Sosa, Hy-Jynx, and Homeboy Sandman. They are all different when it comes to their music, my team will please everyone. For a venue I would have to go with SOB's.. SOB's has had a lot of amazing artists there and my team deserves to grace that stage also.

What are your biggest gripes with the underground music industry and how do you try to distance yourself from those issues?

JD: What annoys me the most are the cliques. I’m all for teams and support systems but cliques are for high school kids who just don't want to deal with others. You can grow as a artist if your stuck in one circle of people. Especially a circle of people who don't even deal with others outside of their circle. No progress, no room for expansion. I am really the type of person to change people views about cliques rather than just leave people alone without giving my advice. Now if they don't want to listen I just leave people alone and let them learn on their own. I won't abandon people though, I'll just give them space.

Who are some of the people and or companies you aligned yourself with for this event and why these particular companies?

JD: Since this event is the proper introduction to Beyond The Basement I didn't want to collaborate with too many people and overshadow the main purpose of this event. However I did contact Upscene NYC (clothing line), Nora Symphony of "I Love Underground Artists" and DJ Kraff Swagger of PNC Radio to help. I have crossed paths with this group of people plenty of times in different atmospheres and every time we have shown our continuous support for each other. We all do something completely different but our passion is to make a impact and a change. I see no one better to work with when introducing a new company like those who always supported you.

What is it about the culture of Hip-Hop that draws you so close and gives you the urge to help those in that culture?

JD: I would say music in general is such a powerful thing. It controls my emotions, my thinking process and sometimes even my actions. Not until I went to my first underground shows did I actually see how great the hip-hop scene was. Being around people who love hip-hop and do hip-hop feels like a old school block party. It just feels good and everyone is family.

After a while of just sitting back going to various shows and talking to hip-hop artists I came to the conclusion that a lot weren't thinking about the business side to the whole music industry. Some aren't aware that there are no limits to who you should connect with to help get your career off the ground. Being a hip-hop artist doesn't mean all you need is the attention of a A&R from a record label, its so much more. Seeing how artists and everyone else that deals with the industry was thinking, I just had to put my 2 cents in. Lol.

What are some of the things we can look forward to from Beyond The Basement in the future?

JD: HUGE things. I am working on a 3 section event which is like the part 2 to the introduction party I’m throwing. That will definitely include so many other industries. I also have something very major I’m working on that will possibly make everyone else step their game up and look beyond the basic career moves. I can't give all details yet but if you attend the next 4 events you will get some hints.

Lastly when can Ran-Da-Man host one of your events?

JD: If you think your mentally prepared to work with someone like me we can surely work something out. I’m a hard worker, I’m not big on excuses nor slack. When you're ready I’m ready
